The overall purpose of the role

DRC is seeking an experienced IM Officer to strengthen its information management for the Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) sector. With the support of the CCCM and IM Coordinators, the CCCM IM officer will support the CCCM teams in ensuring quality, harmonization and consistency of the data collected and shared to inform the programming of internal and external actors across the 5 areas. This position will also play a fundamental role in the cross-country registration exercise DRC will launch during 2023.

Responsibilities

  • Be the IM focal-point for the biometric household registration data collection exercise under a new grant, in coordination with external partners;
  • Ensure CCCM indicators reported in the Indicator Tracking Tool (ITT’s) are matching the data collected at field-level per area for every project;
  • Ensure data quality and analysis of the Site Monitoring Tool on a monthly basis;
  • Ensure proper coordination and data management of the different CCCM tools, such as Site Master List, Service Mapping, etc.;
  • Provide data analysis of different assessments conducted at site level, and create relevant information products;
  • In coordination with CCCM Cluster and IM Coordinator, support the creation of interactive and static maps of the DRC managed sites across Somalia;
  • Be the technical focal-point for the CCCM teams and the IM Coordinator in regards to data collection and tool implementation issues;
  • Collaborate with CCCM and IM Coordinator, CCCM Managers and CCCM Team Leaders to design and improve tools and processes for regular and periodic CCCM IM activities, as relevant;
  • Be responsible for data quality submitted to CCCM Cluster from DRC, in coordination with IM Coordinator;
  • Complaint and Feedback Mechanism through Zite Manager software and DRC CRM mechanisms for AAP – ensure weekly analysis, adequate follow-up of the open and closed complaints, in coordination with CCCM Team Leaders, CCCM Managers, CRM officer and support of the CCCM Coordinator;
  • Support technically the effective follow-up of all referrals through appropriate pathways and databases;
  • Support adequate management of the CCCM Library, in coordination with CCCM Coordinator;
  • Ensure data protection of all data shared within CCCM sector;
  • Actively suggest and take the lead on development of Information Products that will increases the partners engagement and access to quality data to improve the response;
  • Support CCCM sector with quality donor reporting on a monthly basis;
  • Ensure collection of sex and age disaggregated data according to standards and donor requirements;
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by the line manager;

Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience on Information Management
  • At least 6 months experience on working with IM on Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM)
  • Bachelor degree in relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in data analysis and visualization software such as PowerBI, GIS, Tableau.
  • Proven skills to analyze statistical information and ability to compile and holistically analyze diverse datasets.
  • Demonstrated information management skills and demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies, especially in relation to protection, human rights and humanitarian assessment and monitoring data.
  • Experience with handling confidential data.
  • Ability to formulate IM-related technical requirements and Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to translate planning-specifications into technical briefs for data capture and analysis, and vice versa.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, functions, etc.).
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Full professional proficiency in English

Conditions

Contract: 6 months with the possibility of extension, subject to funding and performance. Salary and other conditions are offered by DRC’s Terms of Employment for National Staff; Employment band Non-Management H1

Availability: 15th August 2023

Duty station: This position is based in Mogadishu - Somalia
