Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world.

DRC Ukraine is currently looking for a highly qualified national specialist Information Management Assistant to support data management processing within the humanitarian mine action programme and enhance the Information Management (IM) team in line with increasing requirements in support of DRC operations. The IM team is responsible for ensuring that the collection, storage, analysis, and dissemination of information are carried out according to well-defined processes and aims to create information products that meet stakeholder requirements in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner.

About the job

As the part of IM team, you will contribute to the development of the information management system by the provision of technical input and support on information management to the field teams and by extracting information from various documents and capturing data into the computer system for storage, processing, and data management purposes. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Performing documentation-keeping duties: making sure all reports are received, written down in the logbooks, and hard copies are sorted, stored in an organized manner, and achieved securely.
  • Performing data entry duties by manually filling out the digital data collection tools.
  • Implementing procedures related to electronic records handling: posting, managing, and sharing of the records in the document repository (MS SharePoint).
  • Assisting in developing data collection tools and/or data entry tools, both paper and digital.
  • Assisting in the preparation and document distribution to the external stakeholders.
  • Scan documents and print files, when needed.

In summary, you will responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date data in our system and providing relevant information to the partners.

About you

To be successful and excel in this role we expect you to have strong attention to detail, a strong aptitude for technology, and be able to manage a large amount of information. Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • Knowledge of the rules of record keeping and document management.
  • Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Data entry work experience, as a Data Entry Operator.
  • B1 English level (Intermediate).

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and/or experience in Data Management, Information Management, Computer Science, or a similar technical field.
  • Experience in database maintenance and database administration.
