What will you do in this position?

The Information and Data Management officer will provide specialized support function and/or support the supply chain team with the operations information and data management related activities to enable effective management and delivery of goods and services for USAID and the Global Fund’s ‘in-Country’ Health Supply Chain for 10 health programs.

How can you make a difference?

In this position, you will have to:

  • In coordination with the project team, will be responsible for activities related to information and data analytics and overall reporting for the project; both internal and external to donors
  • Assist with the Supply Chain Management Dashboard design & improvements in close coordination with the project team and the WFP Supply Chain Planning unit
  • Update the Supply Chain Management Dashboard every two weeks to support the SC Coordination Cell meetings
  • Coordinate with other stakeholders of the projects (eg: Ministry of Health, USAID, Global Fund, UNFPA, and others) to obtain inputs required to conduct Supply Chain (SC) analyses.
  • Provide secretariat services to SC Coordination Cell and Supply Chain Management Strategic Working Groups (agendas, NFRs, etc);
  • Follow up on actions taken during the Supply Chain Coordination Cell meetings and during the operational meetings, ensure all parties involved provide their response, and take action as per agreement.
  • Design and implement any other supply Chain Visibility and advanced analytics products that can support operational decision-making and facilitate stakeholders’ coordination on the ground
  • Liaise with the Operations and Systems manager to ensure accurate and coherent data are processed within the warehouse and transport systems (mSupply and RITA) to ensure a robust and consistence data reporting processes
  • Ensure the activities of WFP are reported to the donors, Ministry of Health, and other partners on a weekly basis, including the reception of supply, storage, and deliveries. This will be provided in a full inventory/stock movement tracking report to ensure all stock sheets/reports are up to date.
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual Operations performance reporting and evaluation:
  • Provide support to logistics operations and activities when necessary, following standard processes and contributing, directly or indirectly, to the effective delivery of NFIs to the final distribution points.
  • Contribute to other WFP’s global Service provision initiatives as / when needs
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Education: A university degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Relations, Business or Programme Management, or another related field.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
  • Prior experience is specifically required in:
  • Supply Chain Analytics to support National Public Health Systems (in particular for Malaria, TB and HIV Programs)
  • Implementing joint projects with Governments in the African Continent, focused on capacity strengthening and building analytical capabilities in Government staff in the Health Sector

  • Additional experience that will be highly valued:

  • Experience in producing internal/external information and data management reports, and coordinating meetings and events.
  • Experience in WFP Service Provision Operations
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and manage multiple activities and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure as part of a team;
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent written and analytical skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of logistics operations (WFP Service Provision operations, as well as knowledge of medical logistics, is considered an advantage).
  • Solid knowledge of the use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical abilities (quantitative and qualitative), with the ability to think outside the box.

  • Sound knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and other related software.

Language: Fluency (level C) in English language.
