Information Assistant
Result of Service Provide logistical and programming support for implementation of the United Nations Information Centre for the Caribbean Area (UNIC) 60th anniversary campaign.

Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent is expected to fulfill the following functions: - 60th anniversary retrospective: o Research, source and select print and digital photographs chronicling the activities of the UNIC over its history. o Assist the design and development of a retrospective product. o Assist implementation of event publicity. o Support assessment of audience reach and impact. o Draft retrospective story for UN Caribbean digital platforms. - UN Day launch of UNIC-managed web platforms – website and Caribbean.un.org portal: o Contribute content for revised website. o Assist implementation of strategy to promote portal and relaunched website, including but not limited to liaising with principals and participants, online registration coordination, preparation of promotional material. - Commemorative items and branding o Assist in the identification and selection of appropriate items. o Collate procurement requests and prepare three-quote database for selected items. o Record purchase items in UNIC inventory database. o Support design and display of branded material.
Qualifications/special skills Skills: Computer software proficiency – word processing, graphics applications Academic Qualifications: Completion of secondary education. Completion up to Advanced Level is an advantage Experience: Events coordination experience Social media literacy Research and writing for online platforms Language: Fully fluent in English, the working language of the duty station
Additional Information The Contractor will work under the supervision of the Centre’s National Information Officer, who will assess and sign off on performance.
