You have:
- Advanced degree in information management, records and archives management, Information Science, or Information Systems is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with at least two years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Minimum seven years experience in configuring records management and information governance in SharePoint/Microsoft 365 business transformation projects is required.
- Experience of delivering SharePoint/Microsoft 365 training is required.
- Experience of international investigations, international tribunals, or courts desirable.
- Certification in SharePoint/Microsoft 365 Compliance, Information Governance and Records Management is desirable.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of French is an asset but not a requirement.

Result of Service
The ultimate result of service is to migrate the content (not evidentiary information assets) arising from the Mechanism’s functions to a new SharePoint/Microsoft 365 environment in compliance with internal rules and best practices and deliver a successful information governance change project for information asset custodians and system users.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Information Architecture (SharePoint/Microsoft 365) Consultant is located within the Information Systems Management Section (ISMS) and will report to the Chief of ISMS, with direct supervision by the Information and Records Management Officer. The expert is responsible for the performance of the following duties: - Assess the Mechanism’s current technical architecture and evaluate the draft migration plan. - Translate the Mechanism’s business requirements (as articulated in “Business Requirements Document for Collaboration and Recordkeeping”) into SharePoint/Microsoft 365 functionality; identify and design new workflows, approval, and management processes. - Create a technical information architecture for the Mechanism’s SharePoint/Microsoft 365 environment that enhances discovery and plans for digital preservation, based on the UN records management metadata guidelines, ISO 15489, ISO 23081 and ISO 16175. - Configure a file plan that facilitates record description, security classification, and access controls in line with UN information sensitivity, classification & handling rules (using Microsoft Purview Information Protection) and supports retention schedules and disposition. - Collaborate with the Mechanism’s Project Team members on an iterative, agile basis to configure the recommended designs and solutions on the Mechanism’s SharePoint/Microsoft 365 environment, minimizing the need for bespoke customization. - Design and deliver training to the Mechanism’s SharePoint Site Owners (approximately 25 staff).
