You have:
- Advanced university degree in Public Health, Supply Chain/Vaccine Management, Management, Social Sciences or other relevant disciplines with specialized training in Vaccine and Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional work experience in immunisation programme with EPI supply chain performance review; conducting EVM assessment with improvement plan preparation; and cold chain equipment deployment monitoring.
- Good written and spoken Nepali and English languages.
- Interpersonal skills and teamwork, self-motivated able to work with partners and work in remote settings.
- Must have knowledge of health system in Nepal.

The purpose of this assignment is to provide technical support to the Child Health team of UNICEF NCO and further to the Management Division and Family Welfare Division in the conduction and completion of the effective vaccine management assessment (EVM) followed by the development of an EVM improvement plan. Moreover, the role of the hiring consultant is also to provide technical support in the post installation functionality assessment of the cold chain equipment.
Specific Tasks:
- Provide technical assistance to Management Division and Family Welfare Division in the Effective Vaccine Management Assessment- preparation, roll out, report analysis and development of EVM improvement plan
- Provide onsite technical support to the Management Division in the post installation assessment of the cold chain equipment in designated locations and support in monitoring their functionality in at-least 30 out of total 186 deployment sites.
- Capacity building of UNICEF immunization team- including those at NCO, FO and national cold chain consultants and Government teams on supply cold chain management at the federal and subnational levels
- Submit a final detailed report at the end of the assignment

The total duration of this assignment is for 6 months.

Working experience of Ministry of Health, UN agencies is desirable.
Special skills: Good written and spoken Nepali and English languages, interpersonal skills and teamwork, self-motivated able to work with partners and work in remote settings. Must have knowledge of health system in Nepal.
