Contract

This is a Consultancy contract. More about Consultancy contracts.

UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places, to reach the world’s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.

And we never give up.

For every child, an advocate

The Child Protection and GBV sectors have committed to improving the coordination between their partners on the case management of children survivors of GBV. Both sectors agreed to include a key action point in their Annual Workplan on developing a contextualized operational guidance on Caring for Child Survivors and roll it out with relevant Child Protection and GBV partners.

The process will be highly consultative to include lessons learned and best practices of Child Protection and GBV partners managing the cases of Children Survivors of GBV. Following the development of an operational guidance, training sessions will be held to roll it out with CP and GBV partners and ensure their endorsement and cooperation.

As sexual abuse against children is mainly considered gender driven, the guidelines will ensure to take the gender perspective into considerations while including specific sections on the case management of adolescent girls survivors and the Clinical Management of Rape (CMR).

The guidelines, as well as the roll-out training sessions, will uphold a survivor-centered approach and ensure the best interest of the child/survivor is primarily considered during the coordination between Child Protection and GBV partners on Case Management service provision, while highlighting the key considerations for children with disability (CwD).

How can you make a difference?
