**OVERVIEW** ------------ Parent Sector : Culture Sector (CLT) Duty Station: Paris Job Family: Culture Type of contract : Non Staff Duration of contract : Up to 1 month Recruitment open to : External candidates Application Deadline (Midnight Paris Time) : 29-JAN-2021 UNESCO Core Values: Commitment to the Organization, Integrity, Respect for Diversity, Professionalism **OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST** ----------------------------------------- In the framework of the implementation of the 2003 UNESCO Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the fifteenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (hereinafter called “the Committee” – 15. COM) was held online from 14 to 18 December 2020. In this context, UNESCO is launching a call for expressions of interest from qualified and experienced specialists to prepare, in English, the summary records of the aforementioned Committee session. Under the direct supervison of the Programme Specialist of the Programme Implementation Unit of the Culture Sector Living Heritage Entity , the Individual Specialist shall more specifically draft the summary records of the Committee debates, based on the agenda, timetable, scenarios and relevant working and information documents to be provided by UNESCO, as well as the recordings and transcriptions as they become available. **Deliverables and timeline** The Individual Specialist shall submit, for approval by UNESCO, the final draft of the summary records of the Committee debates within 3 weeks of the commencement of the contract (tentatively 8 March 2021). **COMPETENCIES (Core / Managerial)** ------------------------------------ Accountability (C) Communication (C) Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement (C) Planning and organizing (C) Results focus (C) **-** ----- For detailed information, please consult the [UNESCO Competency Framework](https://en.unesco.org/sites/default/files/competency_framework_e.pdf). **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** --------------------------- ***Education*** • Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in social or human sciences, or related field. ***Work Experience*** • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in drafting and editing documents relating to statutory meetings. • Experience working with international organizations and academic institutions. ***Skills and Competencies*** • Excellent drafting skills in English. • Computer literacy (MS Office). • Excellent understanding of the [2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage](https://ich.unesco.org/en/convention). ***Languages*** • Excellent knowledge of English. **APPLICATION PROCESS** ----------------------- Interested candidates are invited to submit their application, in English or French, along with a file to be attached under "Employment History", which should contain a financial proposal to be attached under "Employment History" section, which should contain a financial proposal (quoted in US dollars or euros only), including a breakdown of the cost based on the number of working days required to complete the summary records.
