Overview

Assist in organizing the UNODC Youth Forum and related tasks.

You have:

  • High School diploma is required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in project management is required.
  • Experience in projects related to youth-based drug prevention at the international level is desired.
  • Fluency in oral and written English is required.
  • Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.

Result of Service

• Assist in organizing and preparing the UNODC Youth Forum, including the participant selection process and pre-forum activities. • Assist in operating and monitoring DAPC grant-funded projects, including coordination with grantees. • Support other tasks and project activities related to the UNODC Youth Initiative, including contributing to team meetings, assisting in the preparation and follow-up of meetings, preparing various written outputs (e.g. reports, briefing notes, etc.), etc. • Assist any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Global Programme Coordinator, the incumbent will assist in the preparation of the UNODC Youth Forum, the operation of DAPC grant-funded projects, and other related tasks under the UNODC Youth Initiative.

Qualifications/special skills

• High School diploma is required. • Minimum 1 year of experience in project management is required • Experience in projects related to youth-based drug prevention at the international level is desired.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in oral and written English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
