You have:
- A high school diploma is required.
- 2 years of experience in handling stamps and philatelic products is required.
- Good knowledge of UNPA philatelic products is required.
- Good knowledge of postal rules and regulations is required.
- Good manual skills to handle stamps and other philatelic products is required.
- Professionalism, client-orientation and responsibility is required.
- Flexibility in working days is required.
- Good knowledge of English and German is required.
- Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
Result of Service Smooth functioning of preparation and filling of customers' orders including putting together order batches/stock movements and stamp affixing. Timely handling and shipping of pouches and envelopes to UNPA customers. Neat and high quality final products sold/sent to all customers.

Expected duration 1 April - 31 October 2023
Duties and Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Mail and Operations Unit, and overall guidance of the Officer-in-Charge, UNPA Europe, the contractor will prepare materials needed for the filling of orders in a timely manner and put together order batches/stock movements as required. Duties include stamp affixing as per customers’ request, the shipping and handling of pouches and envelopes to be sent out to UNPA customers in a timely manner. Other duties include affixing of stamps on First Day Covers (FDCs) according to the agreed upon sample as well as the checking, sorting, recording and distribution of mail-outs and assisting in peak workload assignments required to meet critical deadlines.
Qualifications/special skills A high school diploma is required. 2 years of experience in handling stamps and philatelic products is required. Good knowledge of UNPA philatelic products is required. Good knowledge of postal rules and regulations is required. Good manual skills to handle stamps and other philatelic products is required. Professionalism, client-orientation and responsibility is required. Flexibility in working days is required.
Languages English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, good knowledge of English and German is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
