  • Flexibility is desirable.
  • Fluency in oral and written French and English is required.

Result of Service

Successful sale of philatelic products and the reproduction of personalized stamp sheets for visitors and customers at the Geneva sales counter. Timely delivery of mails for postage, and deposit of all sales revenue in UNPA's bank account. Accurate daily and monthly sales reports and other relevant monthly reports. Timely stock replenishment, stock taking and proper maintenance of display inventory.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Mail Operations, and the overall guidance of the Officer-in-Charge, UNPA Europe, the contractor will act as sales clerk and provide necessary assistance at the UNPA Sales Counter and Personalized Stamp Shop. This includes answering customers’ queries, handling cash and credit card sales, timely banking of sales revenue, generating daily sales reports, processing and franking mails deposited for postage, delivery of mails bearing UN stamps to SAFI for postage and submission of monthly reports to Swiss Post on mail outs delivered to SAFI. Additional duties include delivery of mails to UNOG mailroom, stock replenishment, generating and submitting relevant monthly reports, and maintenance of display inventory. Furthermore, the contractor will follow-up on the status of customer requests and liaise with UNPA Office in Vienna (Austria) on a regular basis, and other relevant UNOG offices and external vendors/customers on behalf of UNPA. The contractor will set up the photographic, computer and printing equipment needed to reproduce personalized stamp sheets for visitors and customers at the Geneva sales counter.
