Overview

Support HR team in developing and providing project documentation.

You have:

  • High school diploma is required.
  • A first-level university degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field is desirable.
  • A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of computer information systems or related area is required.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Knowledge of French or any of the other UN Official languages is an advantage.

Result of Service 1. Current state workflow diagram with MS-Visio format 2. Future state workflow diagram with MS-Visio format 3. URD ready for signature 4. Documentation for system development (user interface, system templates response, forms and checklists) 5. Business process costing

Work Location Addis Ababa

Expected duration 9 months

Duties and Responsibilities The Individual Contract will work under the overall supervision of the Chief Human Resources Officer and the director supervision of the Chief of Talent Unit. The individual contractor will support the HR team with developing/providing:

- Current process mapping - Future process mapping - Process costing - User Requirements Document (URD) - Template responses for interfacing with Service Now - Interface between ServiceNow developers and end-users - Prepare training materials and conducts training sessions and demonstrations of systems for users. - Advice related to business and technical matters - Communications on changes and implementation of the project

Qualifications/special skills High school diploma is required. A first-level university degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or related field is desirable. A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in planning, design, development, implementation and maintenance of computer information systems or related area is required.

Languages English and French are the working language of the United Nations Secretariat. For this assignment, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French or any of the other UN Official languages is an advantage.
