UNICEF Serbia country office accommodates around 50 people who work from the office on a daily basis. The office facilities are equipped with four kitchens, and there are two large conference rooms that are used for official meetings and events.

The office will engage an individual contractor for providing Catering Services in the UNICEF Belgrade premises, to respond to the everyday needs of the personnel, as well as the official meetings and events that take place in the office. The contractor will be expected to provide high-quality catering services that meet the requirements of the personnel, as well as for ensuring that the kitchens are always kept clean.

The objective of this assignment is to ensure that the personnel at the UNICEF Serbia country office have access to high-quality food, thereby promoting their health and well-being. The contractor will be expected to work closely with the staff to ensure that the catering services provided meet their expectations and requirements.

Work Assignment Overview:

The contractor will provide daily catering services on working days (Monday to Friday) at the UNICEF Serbia Country Office premises, from 08:00 to 16:00 h.

The list of tasks will include:

  1. Procuring and managing groceries and other kitchen-related supplies required for daily operations,
  2. Maintaining the hygiene of all kitchens regularly,
  3. Collecting and washing the dishes on a daily basis, ensuring they are clean, dry and properly stored,
  4. Preparing and serving beverages and/or snacks for official meetings, upon requests,
  5. Preparing and serving light meals, coffee, tea or soft drinks at the request of UNICEF CO staff.

Duration of the assignment: July 2023 – December 2025 (office-based, full-time)

Knowledge/Expertise/Skills required:

  • High-school degree.
  • A proven track record of providing a similar type of services to reputable domestic and/or international institutions/organizations for at least three years.
  • A high level of manual dexterity; ability to use the stairs several times during the day.
  • Affinity towards tidiness and order.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • A well-organised person with solid planning skills.
  • Proactive approach and tendency to ask questions to better understand.
  • Ability to work under pressure while keeping a positive attitude.
  • Fluency in Serbian, basic knowledge of English.
