How can you make a difference?

The Private Sector Fundraising Section, UNICEF Thailand Country Office (TCO) is seeking an individual contractor to assist in implementing and managing UNICEF’s donor acquisition fundraising operation focusing the DRTV fundraising technique with programme area and specific project involved in recruiting one-off and pledge donors through DRTV fundraising activity.

Work Assignment:

During the contractual period, the individual contractor will be expected to work on the following assignments. However, there may be some circumstances that s/he may be required to work on some ad hoc assignments related to the fundraising objective.

1. Contribute to Fundraising programme development, planning and execution.

  • Overall project management of DRTV campaigns to deliver on targets and budget.
  • Under guidance of the supervisor and office’s management, developing strategies and plans for management and coordination of suppliers across media, creative and response channels.
  • Under the guidance of the supervisor, coordination of feedback from all DRTV stakeholders including communications and programs.
  • Development of test plans across audience, media, message and offer, alongside suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring of results within each campaign, including the timely and accurate delivery of results from suppliers, and optimizing campaign performance where possible based on these results.
  • Production of end of campaign results, key learnings and recommendations which then feed into the next phase of planned activity to continually improve performance.
  • Work closely with the media and DRTV agency for end to end media planning and coordination for the campaign
  • Work on optimization of media planning for cost effective media planning to continuously improve cost per response and cost per acquisition.
  • Lead development of DRTV creative in coordination with communications, programs and creative agency.

2. Monitor, evaluation and report of programme results

  • Coordinate in monitoring success of each activity and prepare progress report against the work plan and targets. Coordinate in collecting, interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and model(s), and providing recommendations and strategic plan for future activities.
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly media plan performance reporting for better optimization.
  • Prepare and monitor daily and month to date fund raising representative performance matrix for closely motoring TM performance.
  • Ensuring there are smooth data flows between all response channels, in-bound and outbound teams and follow on conversion and welcome activities.

3. Ensure effective resource mobilization

  • Effectively manage and communicate with other team members, partners, and related parties to achieve programme goals.
  • Contribute to evaluation of the performance of each activity and presents on expenditure and budget and progress against plans.
  • Perform various of effective supports to the team as and when requires.
  • Work closely with the TM team to support fund raising representatives to achieve their monthly conversion % on outbound and inbound calls received
  • Conduct weekly and monthly meeting with all partners and support them in running an integrated campaign

End Product(s):

  • Weekly and monthly report detailing the key points, findings, and recommendation on all the work done, challenges and possible improvement during the contract period.
  • To have met all donor KPIs set out in the budget, including (but not limited to) volume, average gift and retention.
  • To manage the external agencies effectively, ensuring that the agreed targets are met.

Estimated Duration of Contract: 11.5 months with possibility of extension (16 July 2021 – 30 June 2022).

Official Travel: The Individual Contractor will mainly work in UNICEF Thailand Country Office, Bangkok. Official travel in-country may be required upon necessity.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

  • Advanced university degree in related field, i.e. Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two-year professional work experience at managerial level in the field of large-scale sales/marketing activities/projects/campaign combining with leading campaign management and administration. Direct experience on DRTV fundraising project is an advantage.
  • Highly organized and logical, able to manage and priorities multiple tasks and several simultaneous projects and priorities efficiently, to work under pressure, meet deadlines and see projects through.

Language Requirements:

  • High proficiency in knowledge of English and Thai, both spoken and written.

Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.
