Result of Service
The content is prepared and produced according to the agreed tasks outlined by the supervisor. In detail: • Social media content on UNODC’s activities related to transnational organized crime is produced and, following approval, posted on UNODC’s social media channels. • Visual materials (graphics, infographics and various social media assets) are developed and delivered in line with UNODC branding guidelines. • Meetings are supported with background notes, presentations, as required. • Timely submission of tasks, including communication products and visuals as per supervisor’s instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities
This Individual Contractor opening is located in the Advocacy Section (AS), Public Affairs Branch (PAB), Division for Policy Analysis and Public Affairs (DPA), United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), in Vienna, Austria. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of the Section. The UNODC Advocacy Section (AS) is entrusted with the direction and management of all communication, advocacy and public affairs activities of UNODC, and has primary responsibility to implement the communications strategy and drive communication priorities. A consistent visual brand identity is a vital asset for the organization, shaping how the organization is recognized by stakeholders worldwide. In alignment with UNODC’s core mandate areas addressing pressing global challenges posed by drugs, crime, corruption and terrorism, AS seeks the expertise of an Individual Contractor (IC) to create compelling social media content from drafting copy to developing digital visual products around the office’s mandates with a special focus on transnational organized crime. Under the supervision of Chief of Advocacy Section, the Contractor will perform the following tasks: • Research and draft engaging social media content, including development of visual materials, related to transnational organized crime also by repurposing available public information materials and other products developed across UNODC. • Liaise with relevant UNODC Sections and field offices to gather content and visuals, including photographs and videos. • Coordinate with internal and external service providers for the production of audio-visual materials. • Assist with the planning and organization of meetings. • Perform any other duties as required or assigned by the supervisor.
