Duties and Responsibilities
The United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) has been issuing stamps to provide a philatelic window on the work of the Organization. By the issuance of the philatelic products UNPA has been promoting the mandates of the Organization. The issuance and representation of UN stamps provide a powerful communication tool, which visually draws attention to the many and varied causes in which the United Nations is involved. Location of work will be at the UNPA Order Filling Office, Vienna International Centre, Wagramerstrasse 5, 1400 Vienna, Austria. Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor, Mail and Operations Unit, and overall guidance of the Officer-in-Charge, UNPA Europe, the contractor will assist in preparing materials needed for the filling of orders in a timely manner and put together order batches/stock movements as requested. Other duties include the affixing of stamps on First Day Covers according to the agreed upon sample, assisting in peak workload assignments required to meet critical deadlines and other manual work like collecting stamps and philatelic deliveries from the receiving area, sorting and arranging them in the appropriate stockroom.
Qualifications/special skills

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, good knowledge of English and German is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
