Overview
Facilitate governance community of practice for effective international development
You have:
- Master’s degree in international development, political science, social sciences, or related area is required with 5 years of professional experience.
- At least 5 years’ professional experience in local governance, academia or international development is required.
- A minimum of 2 years working in the gender equality and/or governance and peacebuilding area of work is required.
- A minimum of 2 years organizing and managing research and/or scholarships is required.
- 2 years of working in knowledge management within an international organization is desirable.
- Proven ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, and to deliver in a timely manner within cost and quality standards.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, International conventions on women, gender, equality and gender justice, conventions on the right of development and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
- Working knowledge and familiarity with local legislations governing local administration and local development.
- Proficiency and proven experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. word, excel, power point) is required.
- Fluent in English and Arabic.

Required Skills and Experience
Education
- Master’s degree in international development, political science, social sciences, or related area is required with 5 years of professional experience. Or 7 years relevant experience combined with a bachelor’s degree may also be considered
Experience
- At least 5 years’ professional experience in local governance, academia or international development is required.
- A minimum of 2 years working in the gender equality and/or governance and peacebuilding area of work is required.
- A minimum of 2 years organizing and managing research and / or scholarships is required.
- 2 years of working in knowledge management within an international organization is desirable.
- Proven ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, and to deliver in a timely manner within cost and quality standards.
- Knowledge and familiarity with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, International conventions on women, gender, equality and gender justice, conventions on the right of development and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.

Proficiency and proven experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite (e.g. word, excel, power point) is required. Experience in online discussion forums, development of online surveys, presentations, organization of webinars would be an asset.
