Result of Service The badges of the visitors are prepared in advance. The visitors of the Visitors' Service receive their identification badges in a timely manner. The database of visitors is maintained in such a way that the arrival and visitors and the delivery of badges runs smoothly.

Expected duration Expected Duration: The position is based on an hourly contractual arrangement. The incumbent will be expected to work 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday. A first contract of one month will be prolonged after an evaluation of the output.

Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities: The post is located in the Visitors’ Service – United Nations Information Service. The incumbent would serve as an identification clerk to assist in the management of the Indico computer system and the issuance of badges to visitors attending guided tours at the Palais des Nations.

Under the supervision of the Chief of the Visitors’ Service, the incumbent:

  • Processes individual identification badges by verifying personal data previously uploaded into the UN Indico system, inputting or correcting data where appropriate.
  • The incumbent will contact those visitors whose data is incorrect or incomplete.
  • When all data is in order, the incumbent will print the badges ahead of the guided tours.
  • Produces Excel sheet with lists of visitors, photocopy and file documents and as justification for the issuance of badges if/where needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/special skills Academic Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: Previous work experience in clerical and general office support or related areas with the UN or other international organizations is desirable. Language: Good working knowledge of French and English.
