The purpose of the job is to support the Country ICT for managing and ensure effective delivery of IT goals and objectives.

The ICT Assistant will be responsible for the particular reporting to senior management and collaborating externally and internally with field office colleagues, task forces, work groups, and corporate operations.

Dimensions of Role:

Typical Responsibilities - Key End Results of Position:

  • Ensure that human resources receive any necessary training and are used effectively.
  • Develop and maintain detailed work plan, including overall schedule.
  • Report status to and escalate risks and issues to IT MANAGER or CMT
  • Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different Field office
  • Ensure that the system follows all quality assurance processes, including periodic reviews and transitions.
  • Ensure the maintenance and the integrity of the LAN (Hardware and Software, Update Antivirus, etc.)
  • Ensure the follow-up and the network administration.
  • Ensure that the system in place has reliable communication and updates.
  • Advise and assist users to familiarize with computer tools.
  • Execute various spots requested by the IT Manager or the CMT

**Responsibilities in relation to the Safeguarding / PHEAS policy for children and program participants.

As a member of staff** - Report any child abuse or child protection issues in accordance with local office procedures and this policy. Plan staff can also make use of Plan's whistle-blowing policy in this eventuality. - Ensure that contact with a child, or members of a family associated with Plan's work, is supervised by one (or another) Plan staff member. This may include visits and any form of communication via social media, emails and letters. - Ensure the analysis and documented management of child protection and program participant risks as part of the regular program/project risk management process at all stages of the program/project cycle. - Ensure the effective implementation of the Safeguarding / PHEAS policy application standards applicable to the management areas under his/her responsibility (see standards manual). - Cooperate fully and confidentially in any investigation of a problem or suspected abuse. - Work with managers to identify which Child Safeguarding / PHEAS standards and indicators apply to his/her area of responsibility. - Reinforce communication on the code of conduct and follow up on its adherence - Visibly demonstrate and encourage a culture of openness and awareness for all.

Complexity of problems handled & the degree of investigation, analysis, & creative thinking required to solve them

Promptly facing and correcting user’s issues concerning the IT’s while ensuring quality and effectiveness.

Working contacts inside and outside the organization; include the purpose and level (high, medium, low) of the contact

Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, and Experience Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:

Gained through education, training, & experience

  • University Degree or equivalent in a Computer studies discipline
  • IT Engineer certification or 3 years of equivalent professional work experience.
  • Experience in small, mid and large-scale IT management with a minimum of 2 years managing multi-track, complex Network.
  • Experience of work in diverse system applications,
  • An established track record of delivering systems to the satisfaction of business owners
  • Proven IT Management skills using a variety of formal & informal methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation capacity and communications skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills while working with colleagues.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills through confident interpersonal communications.
  • Ability to earn credibility of the executive leadership.
  • Ability to work in an international cross-cultural environment.

  • Fluent in French

  • Knowledge of English is desirable.
