The Operations Management team of UN Women ROAP comprises of finance, human resources, ICT, procurement, administration, and resources management, providing operational support and advice to ROAP management and programme teams as well as M/COs and Project Offices in the Asia and the Pacific region.

Under the overall guidance of the Chief, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), the di-rect supervision of the Regional Operations Specialist and ICT Associate, the ICT Support Assistant provides ICT services, implements ICT management systems and strategies, provides daily technical support to users of information management tools and technology infrastructure. The incumbent is responsible for review and advice on the use of new technologies that will enhance the RO productivity. The ICT Support Assistant promotes a client-oriented approach.

Under the direct supervision of the UN Women ICT Associate, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

 Provide IT support in the use of Quantum (UN WOMEN’s implementation of Oracle ERP) functionality for improved business results and improved client services.  Install, operate, and maintain all Regional Office and Project Offices hardware equipment;  Provide advice on the acquisition of hardware supplies,  Make routine repairs and change of hardware electronic components;  Plan, install and maintain all communication systems including mobile and satellite phones;  Install commercial and in-house developed software and related upgrades, anti-virus pro- grammes;  Maintain an up-to-date inventory of the software and hardware.  Assistance in troubleshooting and monitoring of network problems.  Monitor the network connection on a daily basis to ensure stable and responsive network environment.  Configure network printers and provide user access as required.  Liaise with UNDP to trouble-shoot and monitor ROAP network problems;  Respond to user needs and questions regarding network access.  Maintain up-to-date parameters of information for the network clients and electronic mail.  Assistance in backup and restoration procedures for local drives; Maintenance of backup logs; organize off-site storage of backups.  Maintain the ROAP and Project Offices web site and Intranet;  Upload documents including job advertisement to the ROAP web site as requested.  Maintenance of an up-to-date inventory of software and hardware.  Maintenance of the inventory and stock of supplies and spare parts in cooperation with the Procurement Unit.  Maintenance of records on IT related asset management, preparation of reports, incl. year- end asset certification. Extraction of data from various sources.  Process ICT equipment registration and disposal in UN Women System asset module, sup- port to the physical inventory verification exercise by checking the accuracy of records and location of property and prepare inventory reports as required.  Provide ICT support to key events.  Diagnose, evaluate, and prioritize requests for assistance from staff in RO/COs/ Programme Presence offices experiencing problems with hardware, application software, operating systems, networking and other computer related issues;  Liaise with ICT Associate in HQ for support and guidance;  Meet all ICT on-boarding requirements for new staff.  Contribute to the organization of trainings for the RO and Project Offices staff on ICT issues;  Synthesize lessons learned and best practices in ICT.

IT environment, telecommunications facilities hard-ware/software and helpdesk support are required.

• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is preferable. • Experience in SharePoint application is an asset.

As this is an assignment for the Thai Nationals, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials.

UNV Entitlements and allowances:

The purpose of the allowances and entitlements paid to UN Volunteers is to enable UN Volunteers to sustain a secure standard of living at the duty stations in line with United Nations standards without incurring personal costs. The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward, or salary in exchange for the UN Volunteer’s service. Contingent on specific eligibility criteria, location of the volunteer assignment and contractual type and category, the payment of allowances will begin from the date of Commencement of Service. Monthly living Allowance (per month) around 48000 Thai Baht Entry Lump Sum (onetime payment) USD 400 Exit Allowance (for each month served paid on completion of assignment) USD 112.82 Medical and Life Insurance Coverage Travel Ticket when moving to the duty station: USD 200
