You have:

  • An advanced university degree, Master, in Economics, International Business or related area is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in conducting research and analysis in the field of development economics is required.
  • A previous experience of economical research work for an international organization would be desirable.
  • Fluency spoken and written in English is required.

Result of Service

The services of the individual contractor will support the finalization of the AIR 2024 scoping paper for the ASEAN Investment Report 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the project manager and the Chief, Investment Issues Section, DIAE, the individual contractor is expected to assist in the completion and publishing duties of the ASEAN Investment Report 2024 (AIR 2024). In this process, the individual contractor will undertake the following tasks: 1. Work closely with Desktop Publishing consultants to ascertain all final changes or corrections to figures, tables and texts for the respective chapters of AIR 2024 are incorporated. 2. Work closely with the AIR programme manager to get the report ready for printing, launching and for dissemination through the internet and other channels. This includes preparation of power point materials for presentation, and other material for dissemination activities. 3. Prepare a comprehensive scoping paper on the trends and relationship between various types of funds (venture capital, private equity, family office, project finance, green funds) and Foreign Direct Investment in ASEAN as a topic for AIR 2025.

Qualifications/special skills

An advanced university degree, Master, in Economics, International Business or related area is required. At least 1 year of experience in conducting research and analysis in the field of development economics is required. A previous experience of economical research work for an international organization would be desirable.

Languages

Fluency spoken and written in English is required.
