- Fluency in English is required, rated as fluent in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand).

Duties and Responsibilities
Background: The RC Office in KSA works with the UN Entities in the UN Country Team for Saudi Arabia to research and write the Annual UN Results Report (UNCRR). The UNCRR is a public information and advocacy tool which highlights the results, partnerships and priorities of the UN in support of sustainable development in Saudi Arabia. Duties and Responsibilities: The IC will report to the Head of Office and will work with the RCO and Programme Support Team on the compilation and completion of the KSA’s UN Country Results Report (UNCRR) including: (1) Creating a timeline for the UNCRR; (2) Working with a graphic designer to create a template, including the integration of pictures and graphics into the template; (3) Communicate/coordinating with various AFPs in the KSA to collect and organize the relevant information for the UNCRR; (4) Write/edit the UNCRR in accordance with the UN standards and guidance for the UNCRR; (5) Support the translation of the UNCRR; and (6) Support development of social media to promote the UNCRR.
Qualifications/special skills
A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related area is required. All candidates must submit a copy of the required educational degree. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. A minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in research and writing of reports on social development issues is required. Experience with and knowledge of the UN Sustainable Development Goals is required. Understanding of KSA’s developmental challenges, policy priorities and national plans is required.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat; For this position, fluency in English is required. Note: “Fluency” equals a rating of ‘fluent’ in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and “Knowledge of” equals a rating of ‘confident’ in two of the four areas.
