The Danish Refugee Council (DRC), a leading humanitarian NGO, is seeking a skilled and motivated HDP Manager to lead our Mine Action and Peacebuilding programmes in South Sudan.
Programme Overview
DRC has operated in South Sudan since 2006, with HDP activities in Unity, Upper Nile, and Western Bahr el Ghazal, including EOD, BAC, EORE, and Peacebuilding initiatives.
About the job
You will:
- Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of HDP activities.
- Manage and build capacity of national staff.
- Guide strategic development for Mine Action and Peacebuilding.
- Drive donor engagement, proposal writing, and reporting.
- Represent DRC to donors, UN bodies, authorities, and forums.
- Ensure compliance, safety, and quality standards across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall leadership of HDP programme; budget and staff management.
- Strategic planning, coordination, and nationalization of roles.
- Proposal development, fundraising, and donor relations.
- Oversight of operations, including HR, procurement, and compliance.
- Ensure safety, impact monitoring, and quality reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Min. 5 years' experience in Mine Action, Peacebuilding, or conflict management.
- Degree in conflict/development studies or related field.
- Strong project management, strategic planning, and staff capacity building skills.
- Fluent in English; experienced in donor engagement and coordination.
Desirable

- Prior experience in South Sudan or similar contexts.
- Background in data analysis, conflict sensitivity, and training delivery
