How can you make a difference?

The role of HR Associate (Talent Outreach and Employer Branding) is to implement GSSC Outreach and GSSC Employer Branding strategy that aims to boost UNICEF GSSC brand and market it as an employer of choice as well as identify avenues and networks to attract talent and fill hard to fill positions.

This will involve:

  1. Talent Outreach
  • The Outreach and Employer Branding Associate will develop outreach strategies and activities to attract talent for specific roles that are identified by the regular recruitment team.
  • He/she will also support and plan career events to reach out to talented candidates and will support in the establishment and management of strategic partnerships and networks with UN and Private Sector Shared Services, academic institutions, professional associations and networks, private sector organizations and service providers including targeting of minority groups, professional associations, and discuss ways of connecting and collaborating with them on mutual recognitions and develop partnerships.
  1. GSSC Employer Branding, Communication and Marketing
  • Work closely with relevant colleagues and stakeholders in GSSC Communication Section, UNICEF Communication and Advocacy Division and Division of Human Resources to ensure alignment with the organizational brand and collaborate on joint talent outreach and employer branding activities, including linking GSSC Career Page with the Global one and development of GSSC LinkedIn profile.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective content to enhance GSSC’s employer brand and engage targeted talent communities in a dynamic, interactive, and meaningful manner.
  • Assess needs and develop materials with concerned stakeholders that address the employer brand. This includes digital and print materials and online toolkits, employee testimonials etc.
  • With support from GSSC Learning and Development Team, develop compelling and engaging editorial, multimedia, and digital content to be disseminated across multiple talent outreach channels, such as websites, social media, newsletters, and career events.
  • Map and develop employee value proposition that will include UNICEF offerings, and other benefits in working with UNICEF and GSSC including Culture and values. This will be used in communications and marketing material as way of promoting employment in GSSC.
  • Leveraging the Career Page for GSSC on the internet and assist in developing and strengthening UNCEF GSSC social media presence, this includes creating strategies on the use social media to engage and communicate with potential candidates.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  • Completion of secondary education (i.e. high school diploma) is required, preferably supplemented by university courses in communications, marketing, advertising, digital media, public relations, human resources management or other related social science field is required.
  • A minimum of six years of professional experience in digital marketing, brand management, or public relations, including experience in talent acquisition in an international organization and/or large corporation is required. A completed university degree from an accredited institution will be counted towards the minimum work experience requirements.
  • Experience with content marketing, social media strategy/management, market research and data analytics is highly desirable.
  • Employer branding, recruitment marketing, relationship management, digital content creation experience would be a strong asset.
  • Fluency in English both written and spoken is required. Knowledge of another official UN language is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Hungarian Language is highly desirable.
