Org. Setting and Reporting

The Human Resources Section (HR) has a transversal function in the organization and its aim is to ensure that ITC has the right quality of Human Resources with the appropriate skills and competencies in order to achieve its strategic and operational goals and to provide staff with a supportive, challenging and rewarding work environment in order for them to fulfil their potential and maximize their contribution to the organization. This position is located in the Talent Acquisition and Development Unit and the incumbent reports to the Human Resources Officer heading the Unit.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the HR Officer, TAD and the general guidance of the Chief, HR, the Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: • Assist in the organization and administration of Learning and Development (L&D) programmes, workshops, online training, learning and development events, presentations, online and offline meetings. • Maintain and administer the HR learning and performance platform; provide technical and business process support. • Assist in the development and revision of Staff Development and Learning, Performance and Career Management policies, strategies and plans by providing inputs and editorial comments. • Undertakes research on a range of L&D related issues, service providers and assists in the preparation of proposals/notes/reports and recommendations for improvements. • Maintain learning and development related statistics and databases. • Ensure HR documentation is developed, maintained and updated in coordination with the relevant HR units. • Assist in the preparation and administration of surveys. • Assist with recruitment of consultants and vendors and process payments • Assist with monitoring the status of the training budgets and liaise with other divisions/units, as required. • Maintain training support materials and assist in the branding of training announcements. • Provides general office support services; drafts and/or processes a variety of correspondence and other internal and external communications. • Schedule appointments/meetings with L&D team, monitors deadlines, etc. • May provide guidance/training to less experienced staff. • Performs other duties as required.

Work Experience

A minimum of five years of experience in human resources management, administrative services or related area is required. The years of experience is reduced to three years for applicants that have completed a university degree. Experience in learning and development is desirable. Experience in performance management is desirable. Experience in learning management systems is desirable. Experience of ERP systems is desirable.

Languages

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is desirable.

Assessment

Assessment will be undertaken through a comparative analysis of the applications. The assessment may also include a competency-based interview and/or other appropriate evaluation mechanisms.
