JOB PURPOSE AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITES

This position is part of the HR Unit in the WFP Regional Bureau for Latin America and the Caribbean, supporting 13 country offices in the region. The incumbent is expected to work under minimal supervision and produce organized and accurate work. He/she is also expected to support the selection process of sourcing talent for the region.

This position is under the leadership and overall guidance of the RBP HR team, the HR Consultant’s deliverables will be as follows:

Support the region’s Talent Acquisition efforts by providing recruitment services for the Regional Consultancy Roster (RCR) and other regular recruitment processes, particularly with longlist, shortlist, phone screenings, assessment, as well as others when required.

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience or trainings/courses.
  • 3-5 years of postgraduate professional experience in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources with an interest in international humanitarian development.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (Oral and written) is required

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Broad or specialized knowledge of Talent Acquisition, HR best practices, techniques, and processes with some understanding of the basic theoretical background.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and recommend a course of action.
  • Good communication skills required to give and receive information and work with a variety of individuals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and provide client-oriented service. Ability to identify client’s needs and match them to appropriate solutions.
  • Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly assimilate, UN/WFP specific processes and systems.

Successful candidates will be placed in a roster for two (2) years.

Consultants are recognized authorities or specialists in a specific field and whose services are utilized in an advisory, consultative, or demonstrative capacity.
