We require an Online Volunteer to conduct a horizon scan to identify potential entry points for women-led green jobs in Pakistan. This will involve online research to identify good practices and examples of women-led green jobs globally, in the Region and in Pakistan. Specially the Online Volunteer should identify best practices for engaging women in green jobs and provide suggestions of how we can incorporate these lessons into an upcoming project on women and green jobs.

  • Project development and management
  • Gender equality and the advancement of women

UNDP is launching a new initiative to promote green jobs for youth and women in Pakistan. In order to ensure that the project is informed by previous best practices and ongoing work in this field by development partners, private sector and communities, and is also future-proofed by taking into account possible upcoming developments and disruptions in this area, we wish to do a horizon scan. The result of horizon scanning will help the project team better plan on how to exploit or mitigate these changes and secure the most positive outcome for the project.

  • Volunteers: 2 needed

  • 6-10 hours per week / 6 weeks

The candidate should have experience in the field of green jobs, youth and gender. Previous experience completing horizon scan would be an asset, but not essential as the team can guide/train candidates on how to conduct this exercise. Fluency in English required, with Urdu an asset.
