Duties and Responsibilities The UN’s Office of Information and Communications Technology (OICT) defines the strategic direction for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to the UN Secretariat. It oversees ICT programs, budgets, and decision-making to align with the Secretariat’s overall ICT strategy. We are looking for a passionate Helpdesk Associate and he/she will be responsible for the first level IT support to our users. Within delegated authority, and in close cooperation with the Software Production Coordinator, the Helpdesk Associate will be responsible for the Duties and Responsibilities mentioned below:

o Evaluate the clients needs and provide expertise in recording, updating, and in escalating support issues to the next level in a timely manner. o Support platform onboarding activities for end-users. o Guide and work with our internal Teams on system testing, integration and maintenance. o Engage in discovery of new IT business tools, to support our business users as well as our internal IT Team. o Provide expert advice and seek, suggest, evaluate and implement process and Technology improvements. o Assistance to handle routine Help Desk calls to ensure timely resolution as per Service Level Agreement. o Ensure customer satisfaction through continuous status information. o Develop, execute and follow IT operational policies, standards and work instructions for customer support. o Develop and manage internal and external support documentation. o Maintain project documentation and course folders during the project lifecycle. o Ensures assets/data security and integrity. o Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/special skills A first-level university degree/diploma in any stream. A minimum of one year of experience in any support role. Working experience with Microsoft Office, Windows, and Internet browsers

Languages Good command of English is required.
