We are looking for experienced grant proposal managers who want to help our organization by drafting and submitting proposals on a number of key areas such as health, education, agriculture, human rights, WASH, gender, youth, community development, HIV/AIDS, sports, capacity building. You will work alongside our existing grant proposal writers and lend your expertise in editing proposals and managing grant submissions. Tasks include: - Writing and/or editing proposals according to best practices - Ensuring proposals meet the standards of grant-making organisations - Submitting proposals and managing the application process - Offering expert suggestions on grant-making opportunities and strategy Data entry and contact sourcing will likely not be required. Communication will mainly be via email. Skype will be an option if necessary. All successful candidates will have access to our online system, where they can start work right away.

    Wamulu International intends to bring a better future for the Kenyan community. This is why we require committed volunteers to edit and redraft our proposals in order to attract more donations. Background of WI: We are a Kenyan-registered, local NGO. We work with self-help groups, women groups/youth groups, farmer groups, CBOs, NGO’s, Local Authorities, INGO’s, foundations, missions, Government of Kenya Ministries, International Agencies and individuals. Wamulu International envisions a community where children, the youth, the disabled, women and men have enough to eat, access to clean water, livelihood, a home, an education, healthcare, a safe environment, equality of opportunity and a say for their future. Objectives: to gain more funding for Wamulu International to expand and continue its initiatives.

  • 1-5 hours per week / 12 weeks

    Committed Passion for International Development An interest to help to expand the scale of a local NGO (small) The volunteers should have experience in proposal writing/editing or at least an interest to do so. Attention to detail Excellent in communication and writing skill Imaginative and be able to strategise. We are open-minded individuals who will consider less experienced but committed volunteers.
