AYPAD Organization requests two volunteers that will help us to train young people in newspaper editing to sustain the project. We have recently been able to develop the full Newspaper project and now we want to embark on getting editing training opportunities for young people to Manage the Newspaper. The Newspaper project implements in Sierra Leone. The online volunteers will not submit any funding requests on behalf of our organization.

In order to promote peace and sustainable livelihood for Young Jourunalist, AYPAD’s Newspaper program works to support young people journalists /editors in developing their own unique talents while also providing a context outside formal institutions where young people can come together to better understand each other. AYPAD also seeks to provide training through the Newspaper project so that each member of the project can better understand editing/ writinge and general newpaper production. Currently, over 50% of editors lack basic training are not able to delivering when it come to professional editing ethics. The project is geared toward creating a culture peace and sutable development through Newspaper Production. Objective 1) Create a project that help Journalist/ Editor to improve their journalism skills 2) Promote peace using Journalism, Improve livelyhood of Journalist whereby making them self sufficent.
Volunteers: 2 needed
11-20 hours per week / 12 weeks
Knowledge in Newspaper Editing and News development Experience in working as an Editor with a Newspaer for more than 2 years Effective communication skills.
