Help draft reports on the situation of Child Protection, WASH, Education, and Health and Nutrition in northeast Syria

UNICEF Syria is looking for one (1) online volunteers to help us with the drafting of summary reports on the situation faced by children and their families living in northeast Syria (NES). related to key UNICEF program areas, especially Child Protection, WASH, Education, and Health and Nutrition, and analyze population data for NES provided by UNICEF. These reports will help program sections in the field office better understand the current situation of children in NES to deliver humanitarian assistance. UNICEF Syria will provide all necessary assistance and documents/ information to the volunteer in advance and during the report writing period.
- Writing and editing
Emergency response, immediate relief operations, and post-conflict humanitarian aid operations
Reports produced by the UNV on the situation of Child Protection, WASH, Education, and Health and Nutrition in northeast Syria will be used to help UNICEF program sections in the field office better understand the current situation of children in NES to deliver humanitarian assistance.
Volunteers: 1 needed
11-20 hours per week / 26 weeks
• Have an understanding of the situation in northeast Syria (preferably academic or professional experience working in the region or on issues related to the region) • Be familiar with UNICEF programming sections, including Child Protection, Education, Health and Nutrition, and WASH (preferably with existing experience with UNICEF) • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint • Have basic GIS skills • Have a strong working proficiency in English.
