Details

We are looking for an Online Volunteer to help us polish and proofread 4 grant proposals for Smart Farms Fiji, which will be used to attract funding for expansion and potential collaboration with partners and donors. Each proposal is 3-4 pages long. The Online Volunteer will be responsible for editing and proofreading the grant proposal drafts. Smart Farms Fiji will provide all necessary assistance and documents/ information to the Online Volunteer in advance and during the proposal writing period. The Online Volunteer will not be requested to solicit any donations on behalf of our organization but will submit the completed proposal to us for onward submission to the donor.

Smart Farms Fiji is part of UNDP Youth Co:Lab programme. It is an international award-winning social enterprise for innovation in Agriculture through science and engineering which allows users to grow produce hydroponically in controlled environments all season long via internet. Over 100 Fijians have been trained under Smart Farms Fiji and the organization is looking for funding opportunities in order to provide farmers free training on modern farming solutions in the Pacific islands and accelerate the achievement of SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing.

Had experience in grant proposal writing for social enterprises; Had experience in fundraising and have a good understanding of what makes a grant application stand out; Backgorund in business management/marketing is an asset; Interested in youth entrepreneurship and solutions for vulnerable communities is an asset.
