Contract

Position: Health, Safety, & Security Officer – Derna (East Benghazi)
Grade: 5
Reports to: AO4 Aream manager.
Supervision of: Security Guards (when recruited)
Duty station: Derna sub-Office
Travel: Frequent Travel (75%) primarily within Derna and to Benghazi, Al-Bayda, Al-Marj, Shahat and Soussa.

Duration and type of contract: 3 months for emergency response - Renewable based on performance and funding.

- Role and responsibilities
The HSS Officer will be responsible for supporting NRC’s programming in AO4- East Libya, and the provision of professional security and access support. S/He will facilitate relations with local authorities, provide contextual and risk analysis, assist staff with the implementation of operational security procedures, lead security training, and ensure that all facilities abide by minimum NRC security standards.
