Introduction

In 2007, the IRC began providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable and crisis-affected people in Jordan in response to an influx of Iraqi refugees and the strain on host communities. Following the eruption of the Syrian war in 2011, hundreds of thousands of refugees crossed into Jordan.

Background

The IRC health program runs a cash-for-health program to support and provide primary healthcare services to patients with chronic diseases. The program adapted three modalities to support its clients and improve their quality of life.

The IRC led the implementation of a three-year community health program started in August 2019 with two local partners, the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) and the Institution of Family Health (IFH). The program aimed to improve health behaviors and practices and increase access to high-quality healthcare services among Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians in Jordan.

Scope of work:

The IRC Jordan has been working to do two studies to evaluate the impact of the community health program and the cash-for-health program.

We are seeking health program subject matter experts, to participate in our study on evaluation of the impact of the cash for health and community programs.

Responsibilities:

1. Providing expertise and insights in NCD – Cash for health area, ensuring that the project is based on the most current and accurate intervention.

2. Collaborate with the study team in designing the data collection process and collecting data within the timeframe of the project.

3. Provide training and technical support to the enumerators who are involved in data collection, emphasizing ethical principles and technical issues regarding non-communicable diseases.

4. Organize the workflow of the data collectors.

5. Ensure accuracy, review, and validate data from a technical perspective.

6. Communicate with different stakeholders to engage them in the study.

7. Do regular visits to the field with the data collection team.

8. Handle any tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Requirements:

- Strong proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic (fluency required) is needed. - Experience working in Jordan with underserved or displaced populations is a plus. - Experience in working with health programs that target NCD patients. - Bachelor's degree in a health-related field. - Dedication to principles of gender equality, human rights, and social justice - Strong communication skills. And efficient time management
