You have:
- At least 3 years of professional work experience, at the national and/or international level, in immunization programme, primary health care, community engagement, or other relevant programmes.
- Experience with UN is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization.
- Knowledge on national immunization programme, community-based programming, excel, data collection, cleaning and analysis and data presentation is highly desirable.
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; culturally and socially sensitive; ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.

The health programme in Lebanon is committed to serve the vulnerable children of Lebanon. Lebanon has gone through several unprecedented crises, that has strained the national health system and cause drop in routine vaccination coverage. Also, there has been greater need for affordable access to primary health care, as more population have sunk into poverty. The health officer will be working to support the immunization program, by supporting in the data management, monitoring, and reporting. They will be conducting data analysis to understand trends in immunization and disease surveillance and equity coverage. In addition, they will be conducting field visits to ensure that they are highlighting the needs on the ground and suggesting solutions.
In addition to duty station specific vaccine requirements, appointments are subject to confirmation of fully vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the appointment. It does not apply to UN Volunteers who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their contracts.

Under the delegated authority and supervision of the Health Officer or designated representative, the UNV Health Officer will:
A.Data Management & Quality Assurance - Manage and ensure monthly cleaning and validation of MoPH Primary Health Care (PHC) data - Support data verification processes to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Support in timely and quality data reporting and analysis - Support in the surveillance data reporting and immunization coverage data
B. Reporting & Monitoring - Report timely on specific indicators in alignment with the RWP monitoring plan. - Monitor implementing partners’ monthly reporting through, ensuring accuracy and completeness of submissions. - Contribute to internal and external reporting, including: o Internal SitReps o Donor reports o RWP indicator development and revision o Other reports as needed - Support monitoring of immunization indicators and follow up with MoPH on related tasks - Analyse data for monitoring and alert on time for needed action to improve deliverables - Support in the Third-Party Monitoring
C. Planning, Coordination & Documentation - Develop concept notes and TORs for health-related projects to support proposals and resource mobilization. - Support Programme Documents (PD) submissions as needed to help achieve immunization targets. - Participate in internal and external coordination meetings, documenting key actions and follow-up points. - Liaise with the PRIME section on Third Party Monitoring (TPM), maps development, and other M&E-related tasks. - Gather relevant evidence, including media reports, studies, and news on immunization, child health, and nutrition. - Support in report writing and documentation - Support in related activities to SBC: attend meetings, coordinate with SBC partners and MoPH, provide technical insights, conduct field visits
D. Field Monitoring & Capacity Building - Monitor implementing partners’ activities through: o Programmatic visits o HACT-related field monitoring o Monthly progress review meetings - Support planning and organization of trainings for MoPH-EPI staff and partners. - Conduct field visits and assess the needs and reflect them
E. Supply & Logistics Support - Assist with supply-related tasks, including: o Vaccine and PPE stock follow-up o Procurement coordination o Delivery planning o Reporting on supply inputs and distributions
F. Other Responsibilities - Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor to support programme implementation.

As this is a national UN Volunteer assignment, the UN Volunteer will be responsible for arranging his/her own housing and other living essentials. This position is based in the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office. National UN Volunteers are part of the malicious insurance plan. National UN Volunteers are expected to be culturally sensitive and adjust to the prevailing culture and traditions.
