S/he is expected to advise and guide programme specialists in UNESCO Bangkok and other Field Offices in the region where it relates to the programme management, partnership building and knowledge management. S/he will be expected to perform the following main responsibilities: • Coordinate the Education Sector’s programme cycle management in Asia and the Pacific, especially to prepare biennial programme budget in consultation with the Education staff in UNESCO Bangkok, Field Offices and the Executive Office in HQ, monitor the progress, and support reporting and evaluations. • Coordinate and provide advice on UNESCO Bangkok’s strategic and programmatic matters by ensuring the common understanding among the Office staff and effective follow-up. • Oversee the coordination and the management of funds-in-trust programmes in particular those supported by China, Japan, Malaysia and Republic of Korea and support the office-wide fund-raising efforts.
