The Opportunity

Plan started working in Egypt in 1981 and has a presence in ten of the 27 governorates in the country including Greater Cairo, Alexandria, Giza, Beheira, Kalyoubia, Damietta, Qena, Assuit and Sohag. Plan International Egypt implements programmes designed to enable communities to improve the lives of the most marginalised children and their families. Plan Egypt’s Country Strategy focuses on five strategic objectives.

The post holder will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the Support Services of the Plan International Egypt Country Strategy by providing a capable and motivated workforce, leadership, effective organizational governance and culture through integrated talent management, performance organizational development, and change management strategies.

The position holder is responsible for ensuring all departmental KPIs for People and Culture, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, Safety, and Security are developed and met and measurements are in place to ensure seamless synergies and processes with all other departments. The position will ensure adequate support for timely and high-quality services to development and humanitarian programmes ensuring the organisation adheres to government requirements for effective operations while managing risk within the country, ensuring full compliance with local laws and Plan’s policies and procedures, both locally and globally.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have extensive relevant experience in International NGOs leading cross-functional support teams. You have excellent knowledge of local labour laws, and their practical application, and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a global team. You can develop and maintain complex partnerships that have excellent business outcomes. You have proven skills in the full range of People and Culture needs including data management, recruitment, reward, and employee relations.

Fluency in Arabic and English is essential for this role.

Location: We will be recruiting globally for this role, but the individual must be based in Cairo, Egypt. Therefore, support with relocation is available.
