The tasks for this Online Volunteering assignment will be to generate and create original designs to illustrate short articles written by specialists in diaspora engagement and international migration. Each Online Volunteer is expected to generate and create 1 to 2 designs per week.

    iDiaspora & ADEPT are working on a joint publication entitled “The Future of Diasporas” w/c includes multiple articles from experts in diaspora engagement. The articles reflect the personal vision on the future of diaspora engagement for development of origin countries in the next 10 to 20 years. iDiaspora is a community driven digital venue, facilitated by IOM, designed to empower diaspora engagement in the 21st century. The vision is to be the go-to venue for diaspora engagement & knowledge, now & into the future. ADEPT is a network of African diaspora organisations based in Europe (European Union, UK, Switzerland, Norway). Organisations conduct development activities in Africa & diversity & inclusion related actions in Europe. It aims to amplify influence & impact of African diaspora individuals & development organisations in Africa & Europe. Volunteers will directly contribute to the publication by creating original illustrations/designs inspired by the short articles. Articles include different topics & geographical regions. Illustrations are expected to be high-quality images & might be edited according to IOM's guidelines. Volunteers will be acknowledged in the publication.

  • Volunteers: 6 needed

  • 6-10 hours per week / 20 weeks

    Volunteers are welcome from around the world and the content generate is not limited to any specific region or country however if volunteers have a preference in generating content related to a specific country or region that is most welcome. This opportunity is open for candidates working in the area of digital arts, design, illustration, and other related fields.
