Duties and Responsibilities
The Resident Coordinator Office in Riyadh, KSA, is looking to recruit an individual contractor to support the team in designing the 2023 UN Country Results Report.
Under the direct supervision of the the Data Officer, with overall guidance from the UN RCO Head of Office and the Communication Officer, the IC will design the 2023 UN Country Results Report (UNCRR), English and Arabic versions, and short summary versions of the report in English and Arabic. The IC will take the current draft/template of the UNCRR, English version, and design things such as cover page, end page, headings and subheadings, thematic theme, etc.
The process will be done in two phases. First, the IC will design the above for the English version of the UNCRR and its summary, according to the information provided by the RCO, which will then be integrated by the RCO. After the English UNCRR version is finalized, the UNCRR will be translated into Arabic by the RCO. Then the IC will update all the graphical elements of the UNCRR with the Arabic translations and prepare the summary version of the Arabic report.
Qualifications/special skills
A Bachelor in design, visual communications or any relevant fields is required.
All candidates must submit a copy of the required educational degree. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. A minimum of two years of work experience in graphic design, visual communications or any relevant fields is required.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat; and Arabic is a working language of ESCWA.
For this position, fluency in English is required.
Note: “Fluency” equals a rating of ‘fluent’ in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and “Knowledge of” equals a rating of ‘confident’ in two of the four areas.
