Long Description ---------------- **Work assignment** Under the overall authority of the Director of the World Heritage Centre (WHC) and the direct supervision of the Chief of the Europe and North America Unit of UNESCO World Heritage Centre, the incumbent shall contribute of the production of an online guidance tool under the working title “Guidance Tool for World Heritage and Renewable Energy" and in close consultation with the Focal Point of the "Renewable Energy Transition and World Heritage" project, the Individual Specialist shall: 1. develop the visual identity/graphic charter of the guidance tool, including typography, colour palettes and overall layout design. All graphics (see ii-iv below) should follow the main visual identity of the guidance tool and be aligned with the instructions received in relation to format, size and quality (based on the internal UNESCO ‘Graphical Standards and Logo Toolkit’ directive; please note that vector format will be preferred for the creation of the graphics); 2. provide maximum 10 illustrations / illustration-based infographics, explaining and simplifying complex concepts in the fields of both natural and cultural heritage and renewable energy; 3. provide a further 18-20 text-based infographics in various degrees of complexity including data visualisation, lists, timelines and flowcharts; and 4. provide maximum 7 icons (low complexity) which will be used to embellish recurring informative text boxes. Long Description ---------------- **Deliverables and timeline** Submit to the World Heritage Centre (WHC): (1) By 30 August 2021 at the latest, and in line with the visual identity developed as described in (1), the finalised version of the illustrations, as described in (2), infographics, as described in (3) and icons, as described in (4) including all relevant source files, as a condition for Payment of USD 3 022; The Individual Specialist is authorized, in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions, Article XI.12, to publish or use the final draft of the Work for purposes of self-promotion. UNESCO shall remain the copyright proprietor of the Work, and for any use of the Work, the copyright shall be indicated as follows: © UNESCO / \[name of the graphic designer\]. Long Description ---------------- **Work Location and travel (if any)** The Individual Specialist will work at his/her own premises (using his/her own equipment such as computer, software, internet access). He/she will participate remotely in meetings with the project coordinator, as necessary.
