Result of Service * Ensuring the high-quality layout of thematic and allocation/geographic guidance and information products, encompassing charts, tables, and other visual elements. * Consistent design and layout maintained across all products

Work Location The job is remote based, but it requires adherence to New York office hours

Duties and Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Chief of the GLRS and in close collaboration with the GLRS, CERF, CBPF teams, responsibilities of the graphic designer will include: - Designing and leading the lay-out of guidance notes, and time-critical geographic-focused information products. - Support the promotion and advocacy of the OCHA-managed pooled funds, including creating infographics, and preparing graphics for CERF and CBPF websites. - Creating visually appealing and coherent layouts for information products to effectively convey messages to donors and partners, including the development of new and attractive designs. - Ensuring quality control of all visuals of these information products. - Ad hoc design support

Qualifications/special skills Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in graphic design, communication,¿journalism,¿international relations, public relations or related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.¿ A minimum of three years of experience with graphic design is¿required Experience working with humanitarian flagship publications is desired Experience working within the UN common system, or a similar international organization is desirable.

Languages English and French are working languages in the United Nations. For this job opening, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.
