How can you make a difference?

Background:

With the expansion of emergency response efforts, UNICEF Ukraine has an increased need for graphic design services. UNICEF Ukraine produces over 50 multimedia assets each month and requires the services of a graphic designer to package these assets in a compelling way for public dissemination and online platforms. This ensures that all audiences, regardless of their location, find the content quickly, easily, and in an engaging manner.

Compelling and high-quality content on the situation of children and UNICEF's response is an integral part of UNICEF’s advocacy and communication efforts during emergencies, as well as its brand. Therefore, the organization must ensure that its multimedia products are professionally crafted and resonate with targeted audiences. Additionally, the organization must ensure that all multimedia materials shared externally on UNICEF's local, regional, and global channels adhere to UNICEF’s global style guidelines and requirements for multimedia products.

This necessitates the services of a consultant to provide graphic design support for the UNICEF Communications team and Country Office overall. The consultant will conceptualize and develop various pieces of work for internal and external dissemination. This consultancy will directly contribute to the production of visual communication materials for the UNICEF Ukraine Country Office, supporting the achievement of the Country Programme and its outcomes in the 2024/25 work plan.

Purpose of assignment:

UNICEF Ukraine requires a graphic design consultant who can provide high-quality graphic design, publication layout, website support, illustrations, and other digital assistance to the Communication Section. The consultant will help ensure a more professional and systematic use of images in UNICEF's social media, print, and web resources. The service will be utilized on an as-needed basis for a maximum duration of 11 months or until the total contract threshold is reached.
