The Regional Stabilization Facility (RSF) has implemented activities in the Lake Chad Basin region since 2019. The facility is managed and coordinated out of Dakar with teams based in Cameroon, Chad, Nigeria and previously in Niger as well, and works closely with the Lake Chad Basin Commission. Since 2024, the Special Multi-Partner Delivery Fund was launched to implement regional activities related to the harmonization of standards in managing exits from armed groups and to support the LCBC in its coordination role in the implementation of the Regional Strategy for the Stabilization, Recovery and Resilience for Boko Haram-Affected Areas in the Lake Chad Basin Region (RS SRR). The regional team based in Dakar has produced several knowledge products this year and is looking for a graphic designer to design these documents, including - RSF in Comparative Perspective: Lessons Learned from Stabilization Programming in the Lake Chad Basin and Liptako-Gourma regions - Community-Based Reconciliation and Reintegration (CBRR) in Borno State, Nigeria, A Lessons Learned Paper - Community Dialogues on Traditional and Community-Based Justice in the Lake Chad Basin Region - Regional Stabilization Facility Factsheet

Currently, these documents are being finalized and written in English. Once finalized, they will be translated into French. Over the next 3 months, we expect the English versions to be designed, while we also translate them into French for design later.

The designed versions should include logos and photos will be provided to the UN volunteer.

We are looking for one (1) Online Volunteer who under the guidance of the Regional Porgramme Specialist, and in close collaboration with the communications team will produce design proposals. In particular, the/each Online Volunteer is asked to: - Create draft design based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team; - Develop the design according to agreed requirements.

The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.

The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the Policy and Communications teams at (organization) and learn about the ways in which graphic design can increase the visibility of successful interventions.

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
