Overview

Support the design of infographics and profiles for STEAM week.

You have:

  • Professional experience in graphic design required.
  • Experience in designing document layouts is necessary.

  • A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.

Since 2023, UNDP Lesotho in partnership with the Ministry of Information, Science, Technology and Innovation host a STEAM conference which aims at strengthening local innovation and technological capabilities, enhancing effective collaboration between government, academia, industry, and society, and mobilizing local and grassroots innovations for sustainable development. The initiative is expected to link with existing public and private initiatives for promoting and mobilizing local innovations and creative capacities in response to the National Strategic Development Plan (NSDPII) priorities and acceleration of the achievements of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Infographics and profiles will be in English with logos.

We are looking for one (1) Online Volunteer who under the guidance of the Communications and Partnerships Associate and in close collaboration with the programs team will produce and design infographics to be posted on social media for the STEAM week and Profiles for the Top 30 innovators .

In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to:

  • Collect information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines etc.

  • Create draft design based on requirements and discuss with focal point/ communications team;

  • Develop the design according to agreed requirements.

The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.

The Online Volunteer/s will have the opportunity to build connections with the Policy and Communications teams at (organization) and learn about the ways in which graphic design can increase the visibility of successful interventions.

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
