Contract

This is a UNV contract. More about UNV contracts.

Over the past 5 years, UNDP Mozambique has implemented key initiatives under its governance portfolio, including the Decentralization for Development (D4D) programme, the Initiatives to Promote Decentralization in Niassa and Nampula (I4D), and the SDG Localization Project. These initiatives have contributed to strengthening decentralized governance systems, improving service delivery, and advancing the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As these projects approach closure (June–July 2026), four final project reports have been prepared, two covering decentralization interventions (D4D and I4D) and two focused on SDG localization. These reports consolidate key results, achievements, and lessons learned to be shared with donors, partners, and stakeholders.

To ensure that these knowledge products meet high standards of quality and effectively communicate impact, there is a need to enhance their visual design, layout, and overall presentation, in line with UNDP branding and communications standards.

We are seeking one (1) Online Volunteer to support the graphic design and layout enhancement of four finalized project reports.

Under the supervision of the Strategic Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst, and in coordination with the Communications team, the Online Volunteer will:

• Review the four existing reports (content already finalized) • Improve layout, formatting, and visual structure of the documents • Enhance readability through appropriate use of typography, spacing, and visual hierarchy • Strengthen visual presentation of key sections (e.g., results, highlights, key messages) • Ensure a consistent and harmonized design across the four reports • Integrate logos, graphics, and visual elements provided by the team • Deliver final print-ready and digital-friendly versions

Note: No content development is required, this assignment focuses exclusively on design and formatting improvements.

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design and document layout, especially for reports or publications, and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills.

A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
