The Climate Change and Environmental Health Unit provides necessary technical support to the Ministry of Health, key stakeholders and government counterparts on areas such as water and sanitation, health care waste management, building health sector resilience to climate change and creating awareness and advocacy on impacts of climate change on human health to address vulnerabilities, adapt and mitigate climate sensitive health risks.

The overall goal of the programme is to reduce the burden of diseases related to environmental determinants of health including water, sanitation, and hygiene to develop the capacity of the health sector and communities and reduce health impacts from climate related events.

To that end, we are seeking the support of qualified Online Volunteers, under the direct supervision of the Team Lead, to provide support in designing the Climate and Health Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessments and Climate and Health Risk profiles for Timor-Leste and for all the 14 municipalities.

The Online Volunteers will be expected to: • Support in designing and editing the National Climate and Health Vulnerability and Adaptation Assessment report and 14 municipality reports. • Support in designing and editing the National Climate and Health Risk Profiles and 14 Municipality Health Risk Profiles. • Assist in incorporating additional inputs/suggestions from the Ministry of Health, as well as technical experts, to the above-mentioned V and A reports and Climate and Health risk profiles. • Work closely with WHO Communication Team and CCH team to incorporate relevant photographs and locally and culturally appropriate designs and context into the documentation. • Incorporate modern and innovative infographics, arts, illustrations to the documentations mentioned above.

Candidates should have professional experience in graphic design with previous experience in designing document layouts, with infographics and complex scientific maps and must have in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. A degree in graphic design or related field is considered an asset.
