Org. Setting and Reporting Ce poste est à pourvoir au sein de la Section « Design and Production » du Service de la Production et de l’appui au sein de la Division de la gestion des conférences, Office des Nations Unies à Genève. Le titulaire sera sous la supervision directe du chef de groupe de la publication assistée par ordinateur.

Responsibilities Sous la supervision directe du chef de la sous-unité de la publication assistée par ordinateur et sous la supervision générale du chef de l'unité de conception, l'assistant en arts graphiques sera responsable des tâches suivants :

- Conception, création et exécution, dans les six langues officiels de I'ONU, de tout produit demandé (papier tels que affiche, publication, brochure; fichier électronique tels que pdf interactif, e-pub, page web) par l'Organisation des Nations Unies, à l'aide des structures informatiques existantes (PC, imprimantes, scanner) et des logiciels professionnels sous Windows, tels : Indesign CC, Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC, Acrobat CC, Edge, . Muse, HTML, CSS, Word, Excel, etc; - Après analyse des données techniques spécifiées sur le dossier d'accompagnement de chaque travail ou instructions orales stipulées précisément par le superviseur ou le client lui- même et au-delà de l'aspect esthétique, doit transmettre de façon pertinente le message formulé par le client. Applique les méthodes de typographie et réalisation inhérentes aux Arts Graphiques selon la nature du travail demandé avec une excellente connaissance des procédés de fabrication. - Assure la conversion et importation, à l'aide de logiciels, (texte, image, tableau) en différents formats é1ectroniques ou autre (EPS, TIF, GIF, JPEG, Word, Excel, Acrobat) qui doivent être inclus dans la mise en page. - Création, à partir des textes, graphiques et photos soumises par le client, une mise en page qui est simple à suivre et facile à lire qui a son tour contribue à communiquer un message global du client. - Formatter une feuille de style qui servira à faciliter la mise en page des publications papier et é1ectroniques qui aideront à concevoir et communiquer les objectifs du client. - Lors du traitement des textes et le formatage, veille à la bonne réalisation afin de respecter le type de supports (papier, pdf interactif et e-pub) le type d'impression qui sera utilisé (offset numérique) sur tel type de papier (mat/couché). - Fournit une maquette visuellement esthétique pour le client. - Imprime les travaux qui lui sont confiés et seront, dans un premier temps, soumis pour lecture au client ou à la Section des Impressions. - Procède à l'enrichissement typographique et aux corrections orthographiques des données transmises. - Le titulaire doit planifier, organiser et suivre l’exécution des plans et les modifier s'il y a lieu et travailler de manière autonome et sous pression. - Le titulaire doit être apte, également a s'acquitter d'autres fonctions telles que : création et réalisations de petits documents ou travaux y compris, cartes de visite, couvertures spéciales propres à l'organisation. - II peut être également demandé au titulaire de reproduire des documents couleurs à l'aide de l'imprimante couleur.

Education Diplôme d'études secondaires accomplies ou équivalent.

Job - Specific Qualification Apprentissage et études dans les arts graphiques sanctionnés par un diplôme ou équivalent est souhaitable.

Work Experience A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the domain of pre-press and/or desktop publishing is required.

Out of these five years, one (1) year of experience within the UN Common System or a similar international organization is desirable.

Languages L'anglais et le français sont les langues de travail du Secrétariat des Nations Unies. Pour le poste faisant l'objet du présent avis, la maîtrise de l'anglais et du français est requise. La connaissance d'une autre langue officielle de l'ONU serait un atout.
