You have:
- Experience using design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or equivalent platforms to produce visual assets for social media, publications, and events.
- Practical skills in capturing and editing photos and videos using professional cameras and/or smartphones; proficiency in video editing software, including adding subtitles, audio, and simple motion graphics.
- Ability to translate messages into engaging, clear, and culturally appropriate visual content for different audiences, using creativity while respecting WHO communication standards.
Contract
This is a UNV National Youth contract. This kind of contract is known as National UN Volunteer. It is normally only for nationals. More about UNV National Youth contracts.
This volunteer assignment is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia as part of an initiative in partnership with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program to enhance youth inclusion, with a focus on the inclusion of young people with disabilities (2024-2026). Therefore, applications from young people with disabilities who meet the required qualifications are strongly encouraged.
The WHO Country Office in Tunisia is committed to promoting health, keeping the world safe, and serving the vulnerable by working closely with national authorities, UN agencies, and development partners. Communication and public outreach are vital components of WHO Tunisia’s work, particularly in increasing awareness around key health topics such as noncommunicable diseases, maternal and child health, emergency preparedness, and health systems strengthening. To better communicate achievements, public health messages, and ongoing initiatives, WHO Tunisia is strengthening its communication team with talented UNV specialising in visual storytelling through impactful graphics, photography, and short videos. In this context, WHO Tunisia is seeking to hire a talented UN Youth Volunteer to assist in creating high-quality visual materials that will contribute to social media engagement, campaign success, and improved advocacy efforts.
Under the direct supervision of the Communication and External Relations Officer and in close collaboration with the technical teams, the UN Volunteer will: 1) Graphic Design Support: Develop visual materials for digital use (social media posts, web banners, online campaigns) and for print (posters, flyers, event banners) following WHO’s visual identity and branding guidelines. 2) Photography and Videography: Capture high-quality photos and videos during workshops, field missions, meetings, and events organised or supported by WHO Tunisia. Edit photos for use in official WHO Tunisia publications, online platforms, and reporting documents. Film short interviews, testimonials, field activities, and awareness messages in line with WHO technical standards. 3) Video Editing and Production: Edit video footage into engaging short clips suitable for social media, presentations, and events. Add elements such as captions, music, WHO branding, and basic animation effects where appropriate. 4) Multimedia Content Management: Organise and maintain a digital archive of photos, videos, and design materials with accurate tagging and classification. Ensure proper consent documentation is collected, archived, and linked to related multimedia files. 5) Creative Input and Support to Campaigns: Participate in brainstorming sessions to propose visual content ideas to support WHO Tunisia’s campaigns, events, and visibility efforts. 6) General Support: Support other technical content creation needs as required, such as creating event materials, certificates, presentations, or simple animations. Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor to strengthen WHO Tunisia’s communication outputs.

• Graphic Design and Visual Content Creation: Experience using design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or equivalent platforms (e.g., Canva, ..) to produce visual assets for social media, publications, and events, following the branding guidelines.
• Photography, Videography, and Editing: Practical skills in capturing and editing photos and videos using professional cameras and/or smartphones; proficiency in video editing software, including adding subtitles, audio, and simple motion graphics.
• Creativity and Attention to Visual Storytelling: Ability to translate messages into engaging, clear, and culturally appropriate visual content for different audiences, using creativity while respecting WHO communication standards.

UN Youth Volunteers get the following package: • Volunteer Living Allowance (around 1788.53 TND./Month) • Entry Lump-Sum = USD 400 (one-time payment paid in TND) • Comprehensive coverage for health, life and malicious acts for the UN Volunteer only. • Exit allowance (paid on successful completion of the assignment) TND 186.3 for each month served, paid on completion of contract. • Access to UNV E-Campus for training and learning including access to LinkedIn learning.
