The Norwegian Refugee Council has launched its humanitarian response plan for the next six- months, aiming to reach 800,000 people inside Ukraine and neighbouring countries.

Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is rapidly expanding partnership portfolio of national organisations in Poland in order to rapidly scale up emergency response and is also entering in partnership with different international organisations in order to enhance and complement the response

Skills & Experience

  • NRC is seeking an experienced Grants and Partnership Manager to provide leadership for all NRC work with local partners in Poland as it works to build the ownership, capacity, and resources of local partners to effectively respond to humanitarian needs in the country.
  • This position will lead the development and implementation of the partnership strategy that contributes to programme sustainability and high quality programs. Leads implementation of the core process of partnership management, supports partners in their project proposal development, contracting with NRC and implementation – as a facilitator between NRC CC staff and partner staff.
  • Moreover the position will assist Head of Program in development of the funding strategy to institutional donors, grants preparation, administration and reporting.

We are seeking highly qualified, resilient, dynamic professionals to respond to Ukraine crisis and support people in Ukraine and refugees in the neighbouring host countries.

Your passion, skills, and experience can make a big difference. This mission would be a start-up in a challenging, emergency context in Europe.

Below is the general person profile that we are seeking:

  • Experience in developing partnerships and working with local partners
  • Experience working in a start-up mission
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Strong capacity building (mentoring, coaching) skills
  • Expertise in the different programme areas and support functions (according to list of positions)
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Additional language skills (Polish, Romanian, Russian) an asset.
  • Ability to be agile and to adapt to a continuously developing crisis

What We Offer

  • Duty Station: Warsaw (Poland)
  • Contract: 1 year contract with the possibility of extension for the majority of positions.
  • NRC’s Salary Scale: NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
  • Start date: Immediately – within the next few months (depending on position)
