During the last two years, Cameroon has been engulfed in a brutal conflict, known as the “Anglophone Crisis”, a peaceful strike, which began by teachers and lawyers and quickly turned into a revolt against the marginalisation of the English-speaking regions of the country. Non-state arm groups have barricaded highways, destroyed property, kidnapped government officials, and dared the military to follow them into their hide-outs. Through protest activities, such as “ghost town,” they have disrupted economic and social services in the Anglophone regions of the country. A walk through the main streets of Bamenda is an eyesore of a dirt-feast as heaps of garbage dumps compete against each other. Our project strives for maximum waste recovery through composting, recycling, and reuse, and aims at zero waste to be disposed onto dump-yards and landfills. The long-term objective is thus to reduce the environmental degradation caused by solid waste for the Population of Bamenda
